Bird Toy Parts.... Coconuts

This section will eventually become our "natural toy parts". We will be adding all kinds of natural and untreated goodies for you to make toys with. We are starting off this section with the coconut halves below.

Coconuts Halves

The possibilities are limitless with these coconut halves. They are cleaned and almost completely hairless. Size varies for each piece, but the general average ranges between 4"-5" in length to 3-4" in width. You have a choice of undrilled or drilled with a center 5/16" hole. The 5/16" hole accommodates 1/4" Supreme Cotton Rope, 1/4" sisal rope, 1/4" Leather Laces, 2.0mm chain and our 2.0mm chain and o-ring combination.

Coconut Fiber

Coconut fiber makes wonderful nesting material for smaller birds. It can also be used in creative ways when making toys. Fibers are untreated and unoiled.

Coconut Rope

This rope is wonderful for adding texture to bird toys. It is durable and very fibrous, offering birds the opportunity to preen. The rope diameter is approximately 1/8" and is a two-ply twist. The rope fibers are untreated and unoiled.
