This adorable preening toy is full of fuzzy Supreme Cotton rope, which is ideal for preening. Preening toys have been helpful in controlling feather plucking and anxiety in parrots. The concept is to get them to work on the rope, rather than their feathers. Supreme Cotton rope is superior for this purpose as there are no long threads to contend with and birds just love to pull out the fuzzy short fibers. I'm always cleaning "fuzz beards" off beaks at our house. Besides rope to preen, there are jumbo beads and marbella rings to slide up and down the chain and jumbo pony beads hanging at the bottom to beak. This toy is approximately 12" long. Larger

Birds get a hold of this toy and they just don't let do. They find the brightly colored jumbo pony beads and neon tube beads very eye-catching, not to mention how much fun it is to nibble on Paulie Rope. This toy is simplicity itself, but is easily accepted and judging from the reactions of my own flock, very entertaining. The brightly colored tube beads and marbella beads are difficult to ignore and the Paulie Rope is another chew favorite.
