Cotton Rope Swings These swings are made by another toy manufacturer who does beautiful work and must have the patience of Job to be able to make all these knots without going insane. These swings are extremely well made and meet our high standards for quality and safety. They are all labor intensive and use a great deal of cotton rope in the making, especially on the large model. I hope that the pictures do them justice. All swings are made with Supreme Cotton Rope, the safest cotton rope available on the market for the making of bird toys. Supreme Cotton Rope is made with short fibers that pull apart into fuzz, instead of the long threads commonly found in cotton rope. Please see the listing for Supreme Cotton Rope under the toy parts section for more information (including a picture of the "fuzz"). All metal products are zinc-free. Snoozy
Swings - Small
Not only is this swing fun for the obvious reasons, but it promotes preening and is a wonderful alternative to those various "sleepy sacks" on the market when it comes to napping and nighttime snoozing. This small swing is made with Supreme Cotton Rope and it has some brightly colored jumbo pony beads dangling from the top. A large pear link attaches to a small length of chain for easy hanging. The overall height is 8.5" with a 11/16" diameter (approximately) dowel. Sizing recommendations: Cockatiels, Lovebirds, Quakers, Parrotlets, Sun Conures and birds of a similar size. Snoozy Swings - Large
THIS SWING IS SPECIAL ORDER..........PLEASE ALLOW 2-4 WEEKS FOR DELIVERY This swing is just massive! The inside diameter is 16" and easily fits the largest of macaws with room to spare. Besides just having a good old time swinging around, this can be used as a hanging playgym or just a nice spot to take a snooze. It can also be hung in a large cage and used for a nighttime sleeping spot. Use it for one large bird or have a couple of smaller parrot buddies share it. The swing comes with a length of chain and heavy duty quick link for easy attachment. The toy in the photo on the left is not included, though it can be purchased separately. You can find it listed under the specialty toy "Hanging" category. Note on the price... We normally don't carry high ticket items like this on our site and the price may seem exorbitant, but this swing uses several hundred of feet of rope and it takes several days of labor intensive knotting to get it made. The photos above are of a three year old swing that gets heavy use by a number of birds over the course of the day. Considering the wear and tear it must go through, it still is in great shape, a testimonial to a well made product. I thought that considering its many potential uses and all the work that goes into making it so special, it was a great deal that I couldn't pass up.
