Bird Swings Not
only do swings provide another place for your bird to perch on,
but for many birds it can be a great source of cardiovascular
activity. Some of our guys love to hang on them while
flapping around and screaming their mighty bird yells.
Samson in particular has learned how to "pump" his swing
just by moving his feet and body weight to really get a good swing
going. He loves when his silly humans encourage him by
saying stupid phrases like "Weeeeeee, look at Sammy
swinging!!" and other embarrassing things you will only say
in the privacy of your own home. Micah's favorite is
definitely our Oingo Boingo Toys which really let him bounce and
fly! Safety
Note: When purchasing an Oingo Boingo type toy, it
doesn't make much of a difference whether the rope is wrapped
around the wire as opposed to being threaded through the
wire. A 7/8" diameter is a 7/8" diameter whether
it is achieved by wrapping a thinner diameter rope around the wire
or threading a much more substantial rope through the wire.
When choosing an Oingo Boingo type toy, it is important to look at
the how well all the toy components are put together AND what type
of rope is used. If you have a bird that is very active and
has a tendency to chew a bit on rope, look for bouncy products
that are made with Supreme Cotton Rope. This rope is made
from 100% natural unpolished and unbleached cotton fibers which
pull apart without threads, helping to protect your bird from
entanglement. While Supreme is a safer alternative than
standard cotton rope, we do recommend you inspect these and all
other rope toys DAILY, trimming where needed.
Supreme Oingo Boingo #3-40S - Medium and Large
Our popular Oingo Boingo is now
available in thicker diameters and is made with Supreme Cotton Rope.
This rope is recommended for active birds who tend to fray and shred
traditional cotton rope toys into thread ridden poodles in the blink of an
eye. Supreme tends to pull out in puffs, helping to minimize tangle

Boingo comes in two different diameters, the Medium Supreme which is
approximately 7/8" diameter and the Large Supreme which is approximately
1 1/8" diameter. The medium comes with a a large nickel
plated bell and the large comes with 3" links of 10MM plastic
chain. As always, the wire and quick link are stainless steel. This
toy also comes with a swivel, which allows your bird 360º freedom of movement
while bouncing. This will also will prevent any screw eyes you might
attach it to from twisting out. These toys are made with 6' of SS wire
and can be
adjusted in length and curl width to suit the needs of your parrot.
Both sizes are recommended for medium parrots, the conure sized guys would be
best with the Medium.

While Oingo Boingo is a great toy for any parrot to hang
out on, it's the ultimate thrill ride for the daredevil. A
little flapping, some upside down hanging and your meek and
mild mannered parrot turns into a screaming monkey! Our
Mitchell, Micah, tests the swing height limits of his toy
daily, usually upside down hanging by one foot! Unfortunately,
I couldn't get him to sit still long enough to take a clear
picture. Instead some of our "calmer" birds obliged
us. The wire and quick link are stainless steel. This
toy also comes with a swivel, which allows your bird 360º freedom of movement
while bouncing. This will also will prevent any screw eyes you might
attach it to from twisting out. The Oingo Boingo has an
overall length of 6' and is curled to 27" in length, with
a perch diameter of approximately 3/4". This toy can be
adjusted in length and width to suit the needs of your parrot.
